SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure is a vibrant couch co-op cooking adventure that we fell in love with for its unique blend of kitchen chaos and tropical exploration. Set in a hand-painted fantasy world inspired by Southeast Asian culture, the game challenges you to do more than just cook, you must hunt, forage, and battle fearsome beasts to gather your ingredients. It’s a project that perfectly captures the “indie spirit” we cherish: original, challenging, and deeply rooted in authentic culture.
The Experience
Hunt and Cook: Take on the roles of Som (the Cooker) and Gon (the Hunter). Work together to gather fresh ingredients from dangerous wildlife while managing a bustling traveling food truck.
Authentic Flavors: Master over 50 iconic Southeast Asian dishes, from savory favorites to sweet treats, all while filling your “Makanomicon” recipe book.
Explore Unique Biomes: Journey through Khaya Island’s diverse environments, each with its own wildlife, cooking methods, and hidden mysteries.
Play Your Way: Designed for seamless co-op (online or local), but fully playable solo for those who want to brave the heat of the kitchen alone.
The Development Team: Kopiforge
The Story: The studio’s journey began at DigiPen Institute of Technology Singapore, where the core team met as students. SEDAP! was originally conceived as their final graduation project. Driven by the incredible reception of their prototype and their shared passion for Southeast Asian heritage, the team officially incorporated as kopiforge to bring their academic vision to a global professional stage.
